Voice Thread is a neat resource that takes slideshows and adds a communication component. Presentations can be created in this slide format on whatever topic or subject matter of choice, then those with VoiceThread accounts are open to share their personal opinions or thoughts. They are given the option to insert voice clips or text on whichever slides they desire to comment on.
This would definitely be a beneficial tool that could be used in the business world, as communication is a critical part. As business teams must create different presentations, it allows the team to collaborate and share their ideas with the other group members. It is a tool that would allow team members to give feedback to one another, or even brainstorming for different team projects.
This tool could be added in my PLE under both the social or education sections. Since there would be a lot of connecting and collaborating involved in using VoiceThread, it would fit in this section as it involves creating discussion around whatever the slide is stating. As for the education section, it could fit because it could involve both learning and creating. VoiceThread would involve creating these different slides surrounding a specific topic of what was learned. Also, learning would take place through the discussion of others where ideas and thoughts would be shared.
